Mr. Singh has been working with life science companies for nearly 20 years, and served as our Managing Principal from 2002 to 2009. Currently, Mr. Singh serves as Chief Executive Officer of VistaGen Therapeutics, one of our Top 5 portfolio companies focused on using new generation stem cell technologies to transform drug discovery and development by using its Clinical Trials in a Test Tube™ platform to determine how new drugs work in the body and how they interact with people with specific genetic differences, before costly clinical trials. Mr. Singh began his career as a corporate finance attorney in the Silicon Valley offices of Morrison & Foerster. He later served as President of Echo Therapeutics (OTCBB: ECTE), Chief Business Officer of SciClone Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: SCLN), Chairman of the Board and President of Durham Pharmaceuticals, President of Artemis Neuroscience, and Chief Executive Officer of Hemodynamic Therapeutics. He also served as Chief Business Officer and General Counsel of Cato Research Ltd. Mr. Singh currently serves on the Board of Directors of Echo Therapeutics and Hemodynamic Therapeutics and as a strategic advisor to several other private biopharmaceutical companies.
